Περιγραφή

The Hellenic Liver Patients Association “Prometheus” was founded in 2012 and is the only patient association in Greece dedicated to people with liver diseases. Inspired by our “mantra”: “Bridging the Gap”, our mission is to improve access to healthcare and treatment for every liver patient, with added commitment to vulnerable and marginalized populations. In furtherance, “Prometheus”: • Provides health services and linkage to healthcare • Launches awareness and education campaigns • Conducts academic research which improves healthcare system conditions • Advocates for patients’ rights and equal access to treatment Prometheus is the founding member of Liver Patients International (LPI) and participates actively in World Hepatitis Alliance, Eurasian Harm Reduction Network, Correlation Network and Drug Policy Network of South-Eastern Europe.
