Job Summary:
As a Project Officer Data Management for the Cash Assistance Program, you will conduct data management processes for a large project supporting asylum seekers in Greece. You will practice efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.
Roles and key responsibilities:
General
· Support the coordination and implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
· Monitor and report any challenges and/or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
· Complete project documentation for assigned activities. Assist with identifying information for case studies and reports on promising practices.
· Support accountability through coordinating project monitoring activities and assisting partners in their efforts to collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools. Collaborate with local partner(s) to prepare reports per established reporting schedule.
· Collect information on staff capacity needs and technical assistance needs of partner organizations and monitor capacity building and technical support activities to ensure effective impact.
Data Management Responsibilities
· Ensure day-to-day management of the databases for effective management of beneficiary and financial transaction information.
· Support high quality database maintenance, including conducting data quality checks for monthly cash payments; proactively identify and support troubleshooting for any problems that arise within database.
· Ensure timely and accurate provision of cash assistance as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) and coordinate with data management team and Financial Service Providers for the provision of project deliverables.
Work closely with relevant team members and partners to ensure consistent data quality and that systems are in place that will enable timely resolution of cases.
Assist in developing data visualization, including real-time reporting and trends analysis.
Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree is required in Information Technologies, statistics, database development/ data management or another related field. Additional experience may substitute for some education.
Experience managing large databases.
· At least 2 years of work experience in data management; NGO experience preferred.
Experience working with partners, participatory action planning and community engagement.
Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data.
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners.
Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented.
Attention to details, accuracy, and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities.
Ability to contribute to written reports.
Required Languages: Fluency in English and Greek.
