These are the terms and conditions to which all those who use the “ngoHeroes” Website (stakeholders, organisations and other users) or its services are subject.

“ngoHeroes” is an initiative implemented by the civil non-profit company “CivilAct”, based in Peristeri, 8 Goumenitsis St., with GENERAL COMMERCIAL REGISTRY number 147461001000, in collaboration with the civil non-profit company “Higher Incubator Giving Growth & Sustainability (HIGGS)”, based in Metaxourgeio, 15 Victoros Ougko St., Metaxourgio – P.C. 10437 with GENERAL COMMERCIAL REGISTRY number 135419701000.

Please read this Website carefully. It contains the terms and conditions of access and use of the “ngoHeroes” Website. The use of the services of the “ngoHeroes” Website indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions or do not comply with the specifications set forth in the terms and conditions, then you should not use the “ngoHeroes” Website.

“ngoHeroes” may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version at this URL. You should visit this URL regularly to check for the most current Terms.

Users who violate these Terms may have their access to and use of the “ngoHeroes” Website suspended or terminated, at “ngoHeroes”’ discretion.

Except for Documents created by a User or Organization, the Site and all copyrights on the Site are the exclusive property of “ngoHeroes”. Subject to the limited permission expressly granted to you under these Terms, “ngoHeroes” reserves to itself all other rights.

Privacy Code of Conduct

The Privacy Code of Conduct found on the Website is incorporated into the Agreement by this reference.

Definitions

The following definitions are found in this Agreement.

• ‘ngoHeroes Website’ or ‘the Website’ is www.ngoheroes.gr and includes the Content and Services.
• ‘You’ and ‘you’ are the individual (or legal entity on whose behalf you are acting) who agrees to these terms and conditions.
• ‘Agency’ is the natural or legal person who accesses the Website to provide information about any jobs or for any reason related to finding employees.
• ‘Prospective Employee’, is the user who is entitled to access the Website to look for a job.
• ‘User’ is any natural or legal person who uses any part of the Website.
• ‘Content’ is all Text, Graphics, Design and Programming used on the Website.
• ‘Programming’ is the user code (HTML, JavaScript,etc. ) and server code used on the Website.
• ‘Document-Content’, is any material that any User places on the Website. Included are details of jobs or CVs.
• ‘Services’, are all services provided through the Website by “ngoHeroes”.
• ‘Text’ is all the text on each page, whether it is editorial, orientation or educational text.

General Rules for the use of the Website

 

General Rules of Use

The Website is intended for individuals seeking employment with Non-Profit Organizations and Non-Profit Organizations seeking prospective employees. You may use this Website only in an honest manner and for lawful purposes, within the intended and acceptable uses as defined by “ngoHeroes”.

License for Users who are prospective employees.

“ngoHeroes” grants you a limited, time-limited, non-exclusive right to access and use the Site for your personal use in your search for employment and opportunities for yourself only. Under this license, you may access the materials on the Site but you may not sell, transfer or make available such materials to any third party.

You agree that you are solely responsible for the content of any Document you place on the Site and for any consequences that may arise from the placement of the Document.

License for Users who are Organizations

“ngoHeroes” grants you a limited, time-limited, non-exclusive right to access and use the Site for internal business use only for internal employee candidate search purposes. Under this license, you may only open and store one copy of the Site materials and you may not sell, transfer or make available such materials to any third party without the express written permission of “ngoHeroes”. You agree that you are solely responsible for the content of any Document you place on the Site and for any consequences that may arise from the placement of the Document.

Distribution of responsibility

“ngoHeroes” operates the Website as an open platform where Employee Candidates can search for jobs with Non-Profit Organizations and identify potential Employers and Non-Profit Organizations can identify Employee Candidates. In offering this Service, “ngoHeroes” does not review or supervise the background, conduct, suitability, creditworthiness or reliability of Users and does not review or control the content of the Documents that Users place on the Site.

Each User is personally liable when acting in relation to another User or their Document – Content. if “ngoHeroes” is informed by a User that a Document or an action allegedly does not comply with the terms of the Agreement, then “ngoHeroes” may investigate the complaint and decide in good faith and in its sole discretion whether to take action against the User or in relation to the Document placed on the Website.

It shall not be considered an endorsement by “ngoHeroes”

Nothing on the Website shall be deemed an endorsement, representation or warranty to any User or any other third party, whether in relation to employment, recruitment and other services on the Website.

No guarantee of results

“ngoHeroes” is not responsible for the reason or manner in which Organizations and “Employee Candidates” choose to work and therefore cannot guarantee that use of the Site will result in the hiring of an Employee Candidate or that a job vacancy will be filled.

Service Functionality Responsibility

“ngoHeroes” will make every effort to ensure that the Website is available and fully functional on an ongoing basis. Despite these efforts, there will be times when the Site or certain portions of the Site will be unavailable due to a failure in scheduled information technology (IT) system maintenance or the information technology systems of third parties we rely on to make the Site available. Consequently, “ngoHeroes” is not liable for any loss or damage that a User may incur under these circumstances.

Security

“ngoHeroes” will make every effort to ensure that the Website is free of viruses and that no third party can have unauthorized access to the personal information of its Users.

Termination – Suspension of Contract with “ngoHeroes”

If you are an Organization or Employee Candidate, then you may terminate this Agreement at any time by written notice to “ngoHeroes”, just as “ngoHeroes” may terminate this Agreement at any time by written notice to you.

Also, “ngoHeroes” may suspend your access to the Website whenever it deems it necessary to protect its interests or the interests of another User. “ngoHeroes” is not required to give you notice prior to suspension and the suspension may be in effect for as long as it deems necessary to protect its interests or the interests of any other User.

Referral to other websites

The “ngoHeroes” Website contains links that refer you to third party websites. These links are provided solely for your personal convenience and do not constitute an endorsement by “ngoHeroes” of the content of such websites. “ngoHeroes” is not responsible for the content of these websites or the accuracy of the materials on these third party websites.

Questions and Notices

Questions relating to your use of the Website will be directed to [email protected]. Notices to “ngoHeroes” may be sent to the address listed on the Website, and notices to you will be sent to the address you have provided or to any other address that “ngoHeroes” reasonably determines is appropriate for you.

Generally

The law applicable to this Agreement shall be Greek law and the courts of Greece shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim that may arise out of this Agreement. The only relationship you have with “ngoHeroes” is the relationship that arises from this Agreement. You are not entitled to transfer or assign to a third party the rights and obligations you have under this Agreement.

Terms relating to Document Placement – Content and Security

“ngoHeroes” is the only party with authority to interpret these Rules. “ngoHeroes” may, in its sole discretion, suspend and terminate the use of the Website of those Users who violate the Rules.

Your Document – Content cannot contain:

(i) URLs or links to other websites (for any product/service promotion or advertising)

(ii) Material that constitutes protected intellectual property (unless you are the owner of such rights or have obtained permission from the owner to use and place the protected material on the Website),

(iii) Material that infringes any other intellectual property rights or violates the privacy or publicity rights of others,

(iv) anything that is pornographic, vulgar, false, defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, inaccurate, offensive, violent, excessively sexual, vulgar, libelous, defamatory, harassing, abusive or ridiculing of another person or entity.

You may not use your Document – Content:

(i) to impersonate another person whether that person is alive or dead,

(ii) place false, inaccurate or misleading information on the Website,

(iii) place advertisements and business proposals,

(iv) post opinions or notices, whether commercial or otherwise.

Document – Content

The Document – Content you post should contain sufficient detail to clearly communicate to the User the nature of the job, the job specifications and the qualifications of the job. Documents that encourage the User to send emails with more information are not allowed. Documents from any third party that charges a fee or that restricts access to certain resumes are prohibited.

“ngoHeroes” has no responsibility or obligation to review the Documents – Content published and placed on the Website, but may perform random spot checks. Documents – Content found to be in violation of the above rules may be removed by “ngoHeroes”, in its sole discretion.

Management Rules

(i)You may not respond and reply to postings for any reason or in any manner other than as provided (i.e. to apply for a job or to engage in further dialogue with a prospective employee).

(ii) You may not send Users junk email

(iii) Protect your password. You are responsible for keeping your password and information confidential. You are also responsible for all uses that may be made with your written permission. If others use your password to post and publish inappropriate material, you risk having your access permission revoked. You agree to notify “ngoHeroes” of any unauthorized use of your registration and password.

(iv) Report any inappropriate postings or conduct, via feedback, when requested.

(v) You do not have the right to delete or edit material posted and published by another person or entity.

(vi) If during the time of using the platform it is felt that you have misled “ngoHeroes” about your professional practices, qualities and/or services, then “ngoHeroes” reserves the right to terminate such action.

(vii) “ngoHeroes” is not obligated to monitor the conduct of its Users, but may investigate and respond to complaints of violations.

Security Rules

Users are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Website, including but not limited to:

(i) accessing data not intended for a User or connecting to a server or account that you are not authorized to access as a User,

(ii) attempts to probe or test system or network vulnerabilities or breach security or authentication measures without authorization,

(iii) attempts to interfere with the service to any User,

(iv) send unsolicited emails, which include promotions and/or advertisements for products or services,

(v) falsify any information. Violations of the system or network security may potentially lead to civil or criminal liability.

(b) Violation of these Security Rules may result in civil or criminal prosecution. “ngoHeroes” will investigate incidents that may be related to such violations and may involve and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in the prosecution of Users associated with such violations.
