Position:  Support Service Unit HR Administrator

Reports to: SSU HR/Fin Manager

Location: Athens

Post conditions:  Full-time

Duration:  3 months (with possible extension)

Context

MSF Greece was founded in 1990 and is a partner of MSF Spain within the OCBA (Operational Centre Barcelona – Athens) network. MSF Greece supports MSF’s global field operations as well as activities in Greece and Balkans region. The office consists of four big departments 1. Fundraising and Communications, 2. Human Resources, 3. Finances and Resources and 4. Support to the Medical Operations Department, the MSF GR association and a number of independent projects supporting the organization’s social mission.

The Support Service Unit is especially dedicated to undertake fully specific administrative and financial tasks concerning the function of MSF operations in Greece.  Its aim is to enhance the quality and efficiency of MSF response to the needs of the populations MSF is assisting in the country.

 

Main purpose

The SSU HR Administrator undertakes all the administrative procedures deriving from the implementation of the Greek Labor legislation and MSF internal policies aiming to contribute to the role of MSF as responsible employer.

 

Main responsibilities

Undertakes all required administrative processes deriving from the Greek Labor legislation aiming to support proper implementation:

·         Manages employment contract related processes, updating the software of the Greek Labor Authorities

·         Registers information to the Ergani software according to the Greek legislation requirements

·         Monitors the accuracy of the data entered in the system and reconciles information with other sources (payroll software etc.)

·         Provides other required support on Greek labor law and consultation to MSF operations in Greece when required.

·         Maintains the official annual leaves book as per the Greek legislation, and follows up to obtain proper validation and signatures.

·         Ensures the enrollment of employees to the medical coverage plan and monitors coverage.

·         Maintains personnel files

·         Links with HR Departments of the OCs in order to retrieve accurate information on data collected

·         Reporting relative data

 

Requirements

Essential

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other studies

·         Minimum one (1) year of working experience in a Human resources department in a related position

·         Good Knowledge of Greek Labor Law and experience in payroll

·         Experience with MSF or other NGO’s

·         Experience with HR Software (Pylon)

·         Experience in entering information to the Ergani software is essential

·         Very good command of Greek and English both oral and written.

·         Computer literate (Windows Word and Excel, internet)

Desirable

·         Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management

·         MSF experience is a plus
